Just a little question really. I know that the BT/VC screen in my Focus can be upgraded to Sync 3 (for a price!), and its something I'm potentially interested in. However, I don't really feel confident enough to fiddle around with all the wires, as it's something I've never done and I'm not very good at that sort of thing anyway. Was just wondering if anyone on this forum would be interested in doing it for me if I did go for it, or knows someone that could (obviously in return for payment!). If not, I'll probably just stick with my little screen as I don't want to muck anything up!

I have the BT/VC module, not Sync 2. Just slightly off put by all the wiring! Have ordered a screen, fascia, radio unit, APIM and Sync harness for Sync 3. Thanks though 😎

I'm not sure if you've stumbled on this guide to upgrade to sync 2? It looks like the process to go from sync 1 to sync 3 shouldn't be much different from sync 1 to sync 2 and I'm sure you can swap between the 2 guides where required.

I have seen that yes, I am following this guide:

I just don't trust myself to do all the wire cutting and rerouting, I know I'll muck it up. Might see if a local auto electrician will be able to do it, or even my local garage (though I doubt that).
