Focus 2013 Sony DAB radio

Featured Replies

Hi. Had my focus since new and always got digital radio. Within the last few days I can now only get FM and AM. When try to select DAB nothing happens!  Any ideas on what to do?

Do you mean there's no DAB signal or it won't switch over to DAB at all?

If it won't switch over, it may just need a hard reset.  If it's lost signal, the aerial plug may have come loose.

It won’t switch over at all. Try to select and it thinks about it for a few seconds then goes back to FM.

how would you do a hard reset?

Hmm, that's odd.  It may be worth removing the facia to check that all plugs are in tightly.  There's a small plastic cover piece underneath the facia that covers 2 Torx screws.  Very simple to remove.

To try a reset, you can just pull the fuse for a few minutes (handbook should tell you which one), but there is a proper 'factory setting' reset procedure within the menus somewhere.

I’ve had a go at removing and checking connections. All were solid.

is there a radio code than needs to be entered when the unit comes back to life after I pull the fuse?

Gone through the menu and can only find a sync reset that deleted all BT devices.

Nope, no radio codes on the mk3 focus.

SYNC is basically just Ford's fancy bluetooth, it shouldn't have an impact on this issue.

As above, no radio codes any more.

Pulled fuse 79 which says audio unit. Nothing went off !!

Try Fuse 67 at the same time.
