Broken Wing Mirror

Featured Replies

Firstly, apologies if this subject has been covered before.....

I own a 1.5 TDCI Ford Focus Zetec, Year 2015.

Putting the bin out last night and had collision with passenger side wing mirror, forcing it the opposite way to it's natural fold in position.

This has popped it off it's mounting, you can see the spring mecahnism, wiring for the mirror coming up through the centre of the plastic insert of the spring.  I am convinced this just pops back in, but for the life of me can't figure it out, despite the endless trawling through the internet, cannot find anything.

This being my 8th Ford vehicle, have never came across this...

Any guidance would be greatfully appreciated.

Sounds like it's broken tbh, they do bend backwards, but not all the way.  Can you add a picture?

Good news is the mirrors are identical to Mk2 mirrors so they're easy to buy used if you do need to replace it.
