Hi all

I thought there was a guide to change these to the better mk3 ones?

I'm hoping it's easy to do,  need to replace mine asap

I should get it checked for blockages too, is it easy to do?

I'm hardly getting  any water through mine at all now

Cheers

Yes it's Here. Your washer pump may be on its way out but check the lines for leaks /clogs.

They should be heated on a Zetec, along with the heated windscreen.  It's only the Studio/Style where they were optional.

As above though, it's not likely to be the jets at fault, there's a rubber filter over the pump that gets clogged with muck.  It's that that you'll need to clean.

I did this very thing on my 58(09) and it was the best thing I'd done, didn't need a pump upgrade, etc. The mist jets actually saved me money as they used a lot less fluid for more coverage and the heated bit was a bonus.

They're about a couple of the only bits I took off before I PX'd lol, those, the wheels and the bulbs were about the best bits of that car!

I'm so glad the newer ones are standard now, saves a bit of headache of putting up with naff ones and expense too for something so quick & simple.. Call me spoilt but it's definitely the little things like that.... 😅

Mist jets aren't even a new thing, they should've been standard on the Mk2 Focus really!

Citroen Xsara's had mist jets in the late 90s, they were a common upgrade for the 306s...really cheap new at the Citroen dealer as well.  I went through no end of them as I fitted them to pretty much every 306 I bought along with a set of Bosch Aerotwins!

If anyone meeds a pair of original heated mist nozzles, I have a set from my previous car that were swapped out for painted ones.
£10 for the pair so say £12 including postage.

i changed them both, still nothing coming out, eventually water started coming out, these nozzles are so much better, the system if working again, thought it was still a bit crap come out, so took it to my local, he cleaned the system for me, although its a lot better, i think the pump could do with a change

easy job to do, even by my standards !

well worth the money, because now i got clean windows 🙂
