Hi all,

need some help trying to locate the sump plug on my 2015 MK3 ST2 diesel.

got the car up on jacks and located the oil filter fine but cannot locate the sump plug to drain the oil, only thing i can find is this plug held in with a pin located at the bottom.

Also when i took the cover of the car underneath this hose dropped down which was situated next to the oil filter, the end looked clogged up with dirt, any ideas what this is and where it connects to ?

in regards to the sump plug, i have looked on various sites and videos and they are all located easy and undone with a socket

any help would be great

Thanks

Neil

That is the sump plug!

They changed to the plastic sump on later models so obviously can't have a metal bolt as you would in a metal sump.

This ad shows what the inside looks like.

I'm fairly certain that's just a water drain tube for the fuel filter, not meant to be connected to anything.
