Engine Malfunction

Featured Replies

Hi Group....

I own a 1.6 TCDI Focus 2010.... only a run about but when I brought it, it wouldn't go above 3000rpm in gear 2, 3, 4 and 5... I googled this, brought a reader and found out that error code P2099 was on there. Googled it again said could be the glow plugs changed... still problem, changed the boost solenoid and boom I've fixed it but to my disappointment still does it intermittently (no code showing) comes on stop car turn engine on and off gone...  looked on the internet and some have said that even the garages cant fine a problem with the engine, found a thread saying they changed the fuel filter and worked perfectly (I haven't done this yet)..... any help would be great...

My previous 1.6tdci kept going into limp mode (max 3000 rpm) . Replacing fuel filter did fix it but it was showing fault code for low fuel pressure

Well since changing the boost solenoid is a lot better but the P2099 says under boost.....

I'm no mechanic lol so..... don't have a clue, have seen it could be the turbo actuator waste gate....
