Ashleicester
I have the stereo code which when I input nothing happens ... it just goes back to the same screen - I’ve just bought the car and the previous owner has told me that after the car went into the garage for repairs it stopped working - the climate control functions are all working perfectly
tomtom70
The issue is with the radio (which is a separate ECU mounted to the back of the display). I think I head a similar issue (more than ten years ago ...) after recharging the battery, the radio went nuts until I gave it a clean reset by pulling the fuse. If you can't find the correct fuse you can also reconnect the battery.

I have disconnected the battery just now - am going to leave it like that for 30 mins ... let’s see what happens

tomtom70
Then the radio seems to be dead.It would be good to check if it still responds to diagnostics (via OBD tester) before replacing it.
