My 2013 mk3 Focus has developed an issue with the headunit . Im pulling my hair out

The unit has started cutting off totally , no power or anything . no display the lot.

Only after maybe 10mins it is ok , this is happening very frequently now and unpreditable as to when it wil "trip"

not a fuse issue as does reset itsef as mentioned after a while.

Any ideas or help would be great !

Also has anyone else had this issue ?

Im leaning towards the main unit behind the facia is at fault , but ive no clue .

Unit is  FM/DAB/CD/Nav / Sync/USB .. the usual one i guess , but i cant even get a part unit for the main unit .

ive 2 pn's taken from the system but not sure if relavent as searches reveal nothing .

system info : F1BT-14D358-DC

FPN: AM5t-14D544-EE

again , any and as much info as possible please

Many thanks in advance

Check the wiring behind the head unit. It's been known for those to work loose over time.
