Good day everyone...

I'm an owner of a 2011 Ford Focus TDCI mk2.5 (2.0) from Malaysia. Its a used car I bought about 2 years ago.

Now the problem of owning a Ford cars in Malaysia is the scarcity of the car parts available. Right now I am looking to replace my suspension / absorber. And I have look everywhere in Malaysia.. the workshops carrying the original suspension. most of them are selling at a very high price. One particular shop in Malaysia is asking for USD 500 / GBP 370 for a full set front and rear and his shop is the only shop in Malaysia still carrying suspension / absorber for Focus TDCI mk2.5.

Is there a website I can buy parts of Focus TDCI like the suspension for example.. and have them shipped it to Malaysia? Doesn't matter if they are from the US or UK.. as long as they are willing to ship to Malaysia and have a much cheaper complete price (including shipping).

    I’m pretty sure eurocarparts ships abroad, give them a go and you should be ok :)

    Just visited their site.. there's a few like Bilstein unfortunately they don't do international shipping. At least not for suspension / absorber.

    Fordpartsuk.com were cheaper than my local dealership in Ireland 

     

    Theres also European-parts.net in Germany there ford enthusiasts website

    Potentially an option as well, have you tried the AutoDoc app? I've just picked up a Gates timing kit from there for the other half's Fiesta for less than I would expect to pay in the UK.

    Many Focus parts are also used on Mazdas and Volvos.

    Particularly on the front braking and suspension systems.

    I believe parts on Mazda 3 and Volvo V40? may indeed be exactly what you are looking for.

    In your situation, I would take the failed part along and see if there was a physical match comparing attached brackets, spring seating, critical diameters and lengths. There may be slight model specific internal tuning differences but if I found one that would fit, on it would go.

    Some members here have found parts for their Focus cheaper when purchased "for a Mazda or Volvo" and seen the Ford trade mark stamped into the metal.
