Mondeo mk5 steering wheel on a focus mk3

Hello all I have recently won a bid on eBay for a steering wheel which was listed as a focus steering wheel wheel, I picked it up for only £20 which I thought was good, anyway I have now found out that it’s from a mk5 mondeo and now I’m not sure if it’ll fit my focus, if it does then I will buy the airbag and enjoy but if not that’s a big expense if it doesn’t fit,

    Hope this fit's fella,it is a nice looking wheel, not so worried about it fitting the shaft,but all them button's and socket connectors, will they work your currently fitted eleccy thingy's connectors...[emoji1696]

    The steering wheel itself will fit without problems. Most Ford models use the exact same hexagonical cone.

    The buttons and switches however will not work at all. Every Ford platform uses different resistor values for every single button. To convert the Mondeo MK5 buttons and switches to work with a Focus MK3/MK3.5 all circuit boards need to be modified. The best solution is to develop custom made circuit boards that have the shape of the Mondeo MK5 circuit boards but with the circuitry of the Focus MK3/MK3.5 circuit boards.
