Martin83
Ford Mondeo Titanium Tdci Auto (2015) Hi, This is my first time posting to this forum. I have my Nextbase 522GW Front and Rear dash cams hardwired by Halfords. My issue is the car has Start/Stop, so when I’m stopped in traffic or waiting at traffic lights etc. The dash cam will restart when the engine restarts. I assume the power to the dash cam is being interrupted when starting the engine and this is the reason. Is there any fuses in the passenger fuse box that power isn’t interrupted when starting the engine? I’m going to have a look tomorrow at which one has been used, however I was hoping to have some insight in advance. Many thanks. TrevorB
Hi Martin, although I did own a Mk5 Mondeo Titanium Auto 2 litre petrol ecoboost with stop start I did not fit a dash cam so unable to advise you 100%. However I am currently running a 2019 BMW 320 M Sport Auto with stop start and I have just fitted a NextBase 522GW, hard wired to a fuse. When the stop start stops the engine the camera continues to run I would hope that your veh should have a better fuse pick up than the one Halfords have used. On my BMW I have piggy backed on to the electric windows fuse (as recommended Your NB522 does not need to be hard wired to a permanent live as it has an internal battery. It should be wired to a post that is only live when the ignition is on Does this help https://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/82637-fuse-box-location-mondeo-mk5/
