MK2 focus central locking won't open fuel flap

Featured Replies

As title, the fuel flap won't open when I use the central locking.

I know it's a little pin behind the hinge, tried spraying WD40 around there to see if it will help release it incase was due to dirt or anything but no luck

I can't seem to find anywhere in the boot etc as a manual open? Is there anyway I can get this open myself without taking to a garage?

Thanks

No bumping allowed, but we'll let you off this time LOL (Only joking, bump away) Surprised no one has answered this, I have the same car as you so am interested in the answer, (just in case!)...

I'm not 100% but I think you can access the lock solenoid from outside after removing the wheel arch liner.

I'm not 100% sure but my mk2 was face-lift so had the easy fuel system which didn't lock  you will need to locate the solanoid motor looks like this
