Wet carpet on passenger side

Featured Replies

Good evening.
I have just got a secondhand ranger xlt. It’s a 2.2. I have water on the passenger side footwell. It is clean clear water not engine coolant. I am guessing it’s water/condensation from the air con. Just wondering why it would be inside the truck rather than dripping outside.
anyone got any ideas please

There’s a wee hole under the carpet with a gromit where wiring comes through there. Get the carpets up and see if it’s coming up from there as if that gromit has failed, water off the road will quickly soak the carpet.

Often that will be where people will wire through aftermarket stuff like central locking for the tailgate, a canopy or light bars.

The water is coming down from behind the dash not up from the road. I can’t find the drain tube for the air con. There is no condensation dripping under the cab. I think the drain is blocked but can’t find it
