They are for holding a Warning Safety Triangle

Funny they give you the clips but not the warning triangle to go in it.
Luckily I had one in the shed.

Pretty sure it's a legal requirement in some countries?  So they leave the expensive triangle out of UK models but it's cheaper to fit the clips to every parcel shelf during manufacture.

I have straps for a first aid kit in my Golf...legal requirement for the French cars, no UK car got them but it was cheaper to fit the straps to every model.

I have first aid kit, triangle, hi-vis and a couple of magnetic road flare strobe lights in the boot at all times.
Keep planning to put a dry powder fire extinguisher in there as well just in case.
Been to a fair few rtc and often lack of visibility of the vehicle makes a bad situation far worse.

I have the triangle as shown, plus a high viz and a jacket, gloves and hat (it's cold on a winter breakdown) keep meaning to get some sort of first aid kit.

It does show how penny pinching these companies are my ford triangle was £3.99
