Richard McDermott
I took delivery of my new car on 31 July 2020 and after the EV battery has been charged 100% the car dashboard and the Ford App only show available EV mileage of 18 or 16. If you the drive the car a few miles and stop the mileage jumps to maybe 28. Adding back the mileage driven this equates to an EV rage of only 31/32. I reported this to my local dealer who passed the problem to Ford engineering and now a month later there has still been no response from Ford. Has anyone else experienced this problem. Nems
Dashboard on mine regularly showed 35 - 40 miles after charging ( ah those days when I could charge) although I doubt I got more than 31 or 32 miles . As my car is 5 months old it could be that yours will improve with time. Good luck
iantt
30miles is about the norm I guess. Will be less in winter with heated screens/heating on , lights on etc. Phevs are a compromise between electric and petrol dependant on battery size . I have contacted the engineering team regarding the battery range jumping up and down, it has been noted. I think they have bigger problems at the moment with the recall issue 😂
Lele81
Hi all, I am seriously considering a Kuga ST line X 2.5 phev as my next car. I am a community nurse in a fairly rural area. The decider would be What mpg are people getting on the petrol with automatic? Not using combined.
maxw
Hi All just took delivery of my new Ford Kuga st-line x PHEV this has had a factory battery update and on full charge showing 32 mile rage the worrying thing is that just around town max 30mph not really sat in traffic ok heating was on but real life miles on just electric when showing range of 32 miles real time I got about 10-15 miles is this normal? Am I missing someone or doing something wrong? Drive was set in eco mode and normal auto ev electric only Hope some one can advise on above and how many real time miles can you do around town on a full charge? many thanks

Can't comment from experience unfortunately, but have noticed PHEVs in general getting a panning in both the specialist and wider media lately. This has related mainly to them achieving mpg figures 40-60% less than claimed. I have also seen references in various road tests of them not achieving claimed electric only range, by 25-50%. I guess electric range will end up replacing discussions on mpg on forums like this, but it does seem to be affected by similar factors such as driving style and temperature (but not, it seems, being stuck in traffic, unlike an ICE car). Rogue 1
Hi we have had kuga st line X - auto for a few weeks now , and battery was done at factory 🏭 we was told , mileage is all over the place , normally 25 it shows when charged can increase to 30 as top limit , charged home and at charge points , still irregular range it shows when charged , not at all consistent, spoke to dealer a few times , and reply after speaking to master technician was umm ???? Delayed response and then battery’s need to wear in up to 1000 miles , didn’t say this when car was purchased!! Or in literature and on websites !!! Also no fuel card yet dealer stated could be up to 8 weeks after delivery of car , does dealer or ford supply card and when did others receive there’s and who can I complain to ford about car rather than dealer as tried ford press / customers service but no joy just stated to spark to dealer !!! Good luck I know I'm a bit late on this convo, thought mine may be a one off, on a good day I charge for the 5-6 hours and I can get upto 50 max and it stays to that if driving under 30, I told the Ford how impressed I was and they said well some can do this but they can't advertise it.
Rogue 1
What amount and how many fuel cards did people receive as heard different amounts of cards and prices also really speaking we are being conned as Ford gets fuel at bunker price when I was working with fuel cards only a year ago we was getting a bunker price of £0.96 litre and that was only with 20 odd motors and fuel has thousands on bp and claiming the vat back so we are certainly down on what we are told we are getting !!
