I'm not quite sure which haynes manual to get as mine is a 51 plate ford focus black edition but the haynes manual for 51 plate onwards shows the mark 1.5 but mines mark one( headlights inbumper) but the one with the ml 1 on it has a sun roof( mine don't) and says up to y reg . Can someone please help me thanks in advance

    its a 51 plate but it could have been built earlier or registered later mines a y plate but built march 01 registered april 01 and is a mk1 youres could have been built march 01 as well but not registered till later which would make it a 51 plate there are mk1 prefacelift that werent registered till latrer some are 02 plates so yeah youre mk1 up to y reg ford etis will show you the build date and registration date and give you the engine code

    It's says build date 30/07/2001 registered 12/09/2001 Version series 15. I couldn't see an engine code but I know mine is mark one as orange indicators in bumper so still blue haynes manual for upto y reg is correct, right. Thanks for helping by the way.

    yeah thats correct the mk1 after checking stopped production in november 2001 so any car before regardless of reg comes under mk1 then the facelift came out after that so up to y reg is correct noprobs mate
