Jordanc523
Hello everyone, I have a 2011 mk3 ford focus edge (non turbo) I wanted to change this and either fit myself or get a turbo fitted. I'm after some information on what parts I would need and some one to point me in the right direction? Thank you. Jordan.
Luke4efc
First off you didn't tell us what engine you have... Secondly, I don't think you understand how big of a job turboing your car is, you can't simply bolt a turbo onto your car and expect it to do anything. I suggest you go and learn how a turbo actually operates. The fundamentals you need are turbo (obvs), Exhaust manifold (most likely have to be custom made as I don't know of any turbo kits for the mk3), Downpipe from turbo to the rest of the exaust (again probs have to be custom made), New intake + piping to turbo + uprated air filter, Intercooler + piping from turbo to i/c and from i/c to engine, oil feed and return lines + fittings drilled and tapped into the block & sump, Blow off valve/recirc valve, Boost solenoid/actuator, Remap to support it all, The exhaust will limit the power you can make so best budget for a full turboback exhaust too. I reckon that's at least £2500 in bits lol. Plus getting someone to fit it as the fact you've asked the question in the first place shows you don't have any knowledge on working on cars. TomsFocus
The only non-turbo Mk3 Edge would be the 1.6 Ti-VCT afaik. So yeah, sell it and buy something with a turbo instead.
Paul W. H
My advise is to see what your Insurance Company think before you do anything like this.

The Ford Focus Edge is a trim level of a Focus and nothing to do with the Ford Edge.
