Boss kit question

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

This is Eugene all the way from Malaysia. Hope all is well and everyone is keeping safe.

I have a 2012 Ford Ranger (registered in 2014) that I am slowly modding as part of a personal project.

I’m planning to replace the steering wheel with an aftermarket one, but I’m having difficulties sourcing for a steering wheel hub adapter (boss kit) for my model.

I’ve tried various websites but the model I’m looking for (especially the specific year) is just nowhere to be found. If anything, they have boss kits for the older Ford Rangers, and I’m not sure if they’d fit.

Would anyone know what kind of boss kit would suit my model?

I have my eyes set on an OMP boss that’s designed for the Ford Fiesta MK6... or even a Mazda BT-50..... These models were produced around the same year as my Ford Ranger.. but I’m not entirely certain if both models share the same steering column designs.

Ford Thailand Racing recently unveiled their Ranger Raptor racing truck, which sports an OMP aftermarket steering wheel (picture enclosed). I’m guessing they’re using an OMP boss as well... though I’m not sure which type it is.

The boss kit they’re using will definitely work on mine.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.
