Smax woes

Hi folks, hoping someone can offer some advice.

I have a 2012 Smax 1.6tdci.  Its always had its issues but this last month there is an issue that's getting worse.  Its started to stutter under acceleration.  It started out in 3rd gear where around 1900rpm there was a noticeable chugging sensation.  Its at the point now where when I get to between 1800 - 2000 rpm its like riding a bucking horse in every gear, once past 2100 rpm it pulls ok and there isn't any issues.  It does idle sometimes like its going to cut out and indeed it has done this several times on me when coming to a stop.

The car has 130k on it and it may be unrelated but just this morning there was a small oil discharge on the driveway (3 or 4 drops).

Check your wiring loom, where it comes down between the engine and gear box underneath, they can melt or rain gets in after a time and starts corroding the  wires, this is what mine did, ok upto 2000rpm then jumping, jerking. I took it to ford and they even videoed underneath the car showing  the problem.
