Blatto Posted December 7, 2020 Share Posted December 7, 2020 It would depend very much on engine power/torque, what gear you are in (and their ratios) and how you are trying to accelerate. In my ST-Line 140 on the flat 1500 rpm is fine pulling in 1st to 4th gear, 5th and 6th would struggle a bit. Will be different in an ST. From cold I'll try and keep it below 2500 rpm but that's just my personal preference. I've been driving over 40 years now and have never had any engine problems driving like that.
