Focus very difficult to start

I've a 2005 Focus petrol auto with 105000 miles. In September 2020 i got the fan belt, timing belt and water pump replaced. Just recently the car is having problems starting i thought i was going to be stranded this evening, the car starts fine at home but then say after twenty miles to supermarket in supermarket for 30 minutes come out and the car takes three attempts to start. Today i did same journey but when i came out the car only started after the seventh attempt- i didnt think it was going to start at all. When i try to start in the drive at home tomorrow it will start no problem. Does anyone know what is wrong? Thanks

There is a central red LED that flashes when your alarm is active located in between your temp gauge, and petrol gauge. Next time it doesn't start, take note if the light is fully extinguished, or does it still flash. If it is flashing, your immobiliser hasn't disengaged properly...

Had a look at LED it stays off- also it started this morning fine I went to do some shopping but left it running when in the shop cause didn't want to get stranded. Read somewhere can happen after petrol fill up which I did a few days ago- if it is connected with filling the tank why would this make it difficult to start?
