My car has been parked in my drive for two months as I have had a knee operation and I’ve been unable to drive, I have kept the battery charged by starting the car at intervals,  today I drove to a garage to fill up with diesel and the protection mechanism wouldn’t let the filler hose go in so I was unable to fill up, problem is only 30 miles of fuel left any ideas anyone please. The mechanism seems ok to look at but ??
