I’ve got a 2016 Ford ranger wildtrak 3.2L auto i drove through water and had a ECU fault which caused its to stall. Water everywhere ***** nightmare. 
 

New ecu and it runs but misfires. Instead of fixing this engine has anyone ever upgrade one of these to a V8. 
 

if so what engine would you chooses. I have a mechanic who can fabricate and make it fit however I don’t know where to start with engines. 

Any advise on what V8 would work well with a Ford ranger would be great.
