Hill assist

Featured Replies

Just had " hill start assist  not available "

Its a 1.5 ford focus 2015 plate uk based.can it be sorted without going to ford dealership

Cheers

This is usually a result of another fault.  Either the battery is getting weak (which causes lots of odd issues) or there's an ABS sensor issue.  If it's only happened once you can ignore it, if it happens again, see if any other messages or lights come up as well.

Hi

Thanks for that , Is it best to have the faults read and go from there.

I have had a problem with the tyre monitors also telling me that they are not there at all, would this have anything to do with this?.

Cheers

I now have an  airbag light on as well as the hill start assist problem

Reading fault codes is never a bad idea, but in this case I think it's the battery at fault.

If you have stop start, is that still working currently?

As Tom said, it’s pointing towards the battery. Even though the engine turns over without hesitation I started having lots of weird warning lights and really random things occurring electrical wise when my battery was on the blink. If possible, check the voltage on the battery and charge with an external charger or get the battery tested :)

Sorted now thanks everyone

I've had the exact same a few times, it was the battery being too low. Turned the car over for a few hours and it went away...

How was it sorted? Useful so that future seekers of this fault don't have to re invent the wheel...
