What is the size of the sump plug hex on these engines is it 8mm? Is it advisable to replace the seal after an oil change?

    i`m sure the sump plug on a 2.0 engine, is the plastic type it just twists on and off.

    should look like this if it`s the plastic one on your car

    If your focus is MK3 2.0 Tdci it should still be a metal sump and metal sump plug. Socket size will be 21mm.

    Thanks for that it's weird cos some videos show it having a hex center where u need a hex socket hence the first question. If it's just a 21 socket I'm happy with that.

    That's the one. 

    Went to plastic later on. My 2016 Mondeo  2.0tdci is plastic with an expensive rubber o ring from ford.
