Automatic 155 focus aren’t listed , in fact I don’t think they exist yet (?) it’ll be Mk4.5s next time they update the mb site. Automatic, at least 150ps, and a few toys are my requirements but also buttons or at least a touchscreen that has to work 100% of the time! An F plate 1.8D L Escort estate as a company car (and a Westfield kit car with mainly Ford mechanicals ! ), then a D plate (older than my previous company car !) Escort 1.4L estate, then an R plate Escort 1.8TD LX estate, and now a 2006 Focus 1.6 Ghia estate. Every one, apart from the company car, has been bought second hand. I kept the R plate Escort for 13 years and only sold it (when it was 16 years old) because the garage said it might fail its next MOT on rust ! But, unfortunately, I think I'm buying a Toyota Auris estate next. Why ? Well I have been comparing my wife's 08 plate Yaris with my 06 plate Focus, and in terms of reliability and rust there is no comparison, they are leagues apart. Full electric for zero AP, But their bigger cars £6k AP Some APs have trebled . Golf GTE no longer available. I'd wait for a PHEV that does 50 miles on a charge instead of 30 before using the petrol engine. i.e. like Mitsubishi have just launched in Japan, I understand. Sadly they're not importing them into the UK. But I guess Ford and others have got comparable models in the pipeline. We bought a 1.5 yr old Outlander PHEV and it's a great car - just wants a bigger battery. ... and if you want pokey, don't think that electric hybrids car's aren't quick - have a look at the acceleration figures and/or go and have a test drive. w.r.t. your car is being of warranty, you can get a lot of repairs done for one year's depreciation on a new car (or one year's lease payments). alanfp Posted January 16, 2022 Share Posted January 16, 2022 I think some hybrids do have (or have had) DSG type gearboxes (eg Peugeot) but most probably do have CVT Our Outlander has a CVT gearbox (with no artificial changes to make it feel like it's got 6 ratios) and I soon got used to it- you won't give it a second thought after a week or two. Think it’s between the titanium Vignale or the ST Line Vignale. Both at similar prices . It’ll come down to spec . Was hoping for a different engine but looks like the petrol MH 155 with the auto box (7 speed iirc) is a real possibility. 0-60 is similar to the 182. If it drives as well as the current one it’s almost a done deal ! The current one I went for STLX for the 182 engine but wanted the titanium x spec.
