MK3 Galaxy drivers footwell soaked!

Hi guys and girls, 

My first post here and hopefully someone can shed some light on this. As the title says really, the footwell is soaked and I've not found the cause as of yet. I have checked the under bonnet drains which are nice and clear, run out behind the front wheels fine. One thing I've not checked is the air con drain which I know has caused issues for others but we haven't had working air con for ages, my question is does this drain serve anywhere else or literally just the air con? My thought is if another drain piggybacks it then I could see why it might be an issue if it's blocked. No evidence around door seals or windscreen and coolant level is so I doubt its the heater matrix. 

Going to rip the carpet back in the next day or two and check the air con drain but does anyone know of any common points where they leak?
