Focus tdci1.6 2008 Dpf estate

just have DPF last week

fuel filter , air oil and filter 3k ago.

Accelerating to around 80 on dual carriageway way and suddenly lost power then felt like missing on/off for a few 100yds. Seemed ok after as drove up down carriageway a couple of times . No warning lights

Anybody know what the prob is?

Might just have been doing it's first regen.

If it does it again, take it back to the garage and ask them to plug it in and do a quick visual.  Seems too much of a coincidence straight after the new DPF.

My last focus needed a new turbo and lost power the same but went into limp but my issue today seemed to rectify itself.

went for another blast later on but no issues accelerating at 70/80 thankfully

Would a regen take so much power as to slow down the car on a flat dual carriageway ?

Regens don't generally take power, but they can cause a judder/jerk as they start.  I always knew when mine was about to start, and more often than not it was blasting down a slip road onto a dual carriageway.

The fct it didn't bring up any warnings and cleared itself without a restart suggests it wasn't a mechanical fault to me.

Hasn’t done it anymore as I took it for a blast last night and used all day today.

Strange one
