HI all,

newbie here. Just picked up a 2018 Focus 1.0 Ecoboost. Trying to update the SYNC 3.2 software via usb download. Followed instructions, re-formatted drive to ex-fat, files are on it ready to go. Inserted into usb port and......nothing. No prompt on screen or anything, like it just wasn't recognising the drive. Any suggestions? I'm not near enough to my home wifi so can't do it that way unless anyone has any good suggestions?

    Hi, maps F9 are the latest available and I think with sync 3 you can only update using third party downloads 

    check extensive other stories

    Yes I used third party site to upgrade to sync version 3.4 yesterday as per the thread on here . Great too!!

    Hi, managed to get upgraded to 3.4 but all of my radio logos have gone!!? Any ideas why this might be the case. I've checked the settings and the slider is set to on?

    I did via the ford site, plugged in to the usb and nothing happened. Managed to get the WiFi near the car and did it that way!! Bit now Ive got no radio station logos 😔

    No, it's just reverts 3.4 back to factory settings but stays on the latest version

    They tell you on cynalabs to master reset it . It organises all the files correctly I think?
