70 plate wildtrack with 10,000 miles. DPF

I drive a 70 plate 3.2 auto wildtrack.  Previously I had the same truck on a 16 plate.

Because of the lockdown, my mileage has been severely curtailed & I`ve only done 10,000 in the 6 months I`ve had it (from new).

Yesterday, I drove about 180 miles, with a brief fuel stop about 40 minutes into a 3 hour journey. Near the end of the journey, what I now know to be the DPF warning light ( engine shaped symbol ) came on. I had thought it was an engine management warning light. I checked all my levels for oil & water. All good.

Then I had to do another half hour journey, light still on.

Finally, the return 180 miles, light still on all the way.

I thought DPF`s were supposed to manage themselves on journeys like that?

I never had any DPF issues on my old one. I had an overheat followed by a head skim & rebuild, but no DPF issues

Any ideas?

Although it can be a DPF warning, the engine shaped light is still the EML.  Need to have the codes read to diagnose any further.
