A ford employee replied that the fuel filter is inside the fuel tank and doesn't change like other parts (like cabin filter or oil filter). It is not autoclean.

There isn't a fuel filter on newer petrol fords. Only filter as such is the in tank strainer as part of fuel sender unit/ pump assembly.

Indeed. But what will happen if it is filled with poor quality gasoline (benzina)?

If there's debris it will be caught by the strainer until it blocks up , then the car will stop..

Then, that is no good at all...

Don't know for sure, but as far as we know, the fuel at (most) gas stations here is not of good quality.

I've had a dig around and it looks like the fuel filter fitment could be market specific.so depending on the country it may or may not have one. If it does it's very close to the fuel tank. You need to have a look underneath and see what you can find.

But it is not replaceable? Right?

It will be replaceable if you have one. You now need to see if you have one. Shouldn't be to difficult to see.

But, it is not just the filter, which is replaceable, it is the whole unit inside the tank, right?

In some markets where there is a fuel filter, it is external to the fuel tank.

I will see if I can find an image so you can see what to look for.

Also, which is the easiest way to find it? The ford employee wrote that it is inside the fuel tank.

Right. Let's start again. Most countries/markets only have a filter of sorts that's part of the fuel tank senderunit/pump which is INSIDE the tank.  Not replaceable . The filter part of this tank unit is a course filter unlike an external one.

Now some markets/countries that have issues with dirty fuel may have an EXTERNAL filter that is replaceable.

I don't know what countries they could be , could be your , could be not. Only way to find out is to look for an EXTERNAL filter

Here is an image I googled and gives some idea where an external filter may be. So it may be at the rear of the tank on the right side

Interesting. Thank you. I suppose that here the market has only the filter inside the tank. Perhaps I will search it. Hope that non replaceable fuel filter will endure and be efficient.
