Mk 2 Focus ST225 Pre Face Lift Interior issues/questions

Featured Replies

Hello, my girlfriend has a Mk2 Focus ST3 Pre Facelift. Its seldom used, its on 151k and has no service history..... however it runs well and suprisingly clean and weve decided to turn it into a bit of a project. Mechanically, Im not getting involved, its going to a friend who is a specialist for a Service/Cambelt/block mod and a once over with a fine tooth comb. However. Im concentrating on the tidying up myself..... going to start with the interior:

I need some help with the following:

Im after a genuine new gear knob/gear gaitor. Anyone got a part number?

The car is also fitted with what I believe is a factory car phone kit. Its bolted too the cup holder. Im guessing this requires the centre console removing? Any guides knocking about.

Also. The 3 gauge pod is loose, easy to tighten?

thanks

When you see the price of these you'll probably say something like "actually my current one will be fine" 😂

There was no factory phone holder included on these. You have to remember though, the iPhone didn't exist in 2006 lol.
The centre console isn't hard to remove, however a few of the screws are hidden away. I'm sure I've seen a few videos on Youtube, it's certainly easier than me explaining it on here.

The trim which houses the boost gauge pod just prises up with a trim removal tool. There's just a couple Torx screws holding the pod to the piece of trim.

Im told this was an extremely rare Ford Option part? For a Nokia it appears? Certainly looks Focus specific?

Wow I had no idea that was a thing, they look awful 😂😂. It must be really rare, I've seen thousands of posts on various owners clubs about these ST's whilst I've owned mine and never come across these before.

Yea this ST is very well specced to be fair. Has all the Sat Nav, digital climate etc

Just need to know how to remove it? Any ideas?

  • Author

guessing this is similar for the ST?

No you can't mate

Not sure what colour your car is but someone is selling a gearknob here : https://www.focusstoc.com/forums/classifieds/item/60201-pfl-gear-knob/

If you have an ST its well worth joining.

I go between here and there and between both forums get the best advice going 🙂

All done. Now to blank the holes. Any ideas? Maybe an insert or something?

I'd buy some rubber matting to fill the whole base area, either model specific, or to cut to shape.
