edstreetka
Curiosity finally got the better of me and I decided to remove a mysterious blanking plug only present on the near side rear door frame. Underneath is a fairly crude hole with bear metal showing. Anyone with any bodyshop knowledge recon they know why this would have been drilled? I’ve been all over the that rear corner and can’t see any obvious signs of accident damage or repair. thanks
edstreetka
PDR - paintless dent removal by the looks of it. Not the best approach in my opinion, but at least the dent isn’t visible
Kawasaki kid
As above , that is where they have gained access to the back of the panel to remove a dent.
Kawasaki kid
Should have added you need to touch in the bare metal around the edge of the hole to stop it rusting.
edstreetka
Yes, thanks for the confirmation. Will sort the bare metal and re fit the cap. 👍
