FordTheWin
Hi, I am planning on wiring some door sill LED plates and some footwell LEDs and have created the diagram below to help me wire them. Could someone have a look to see if this will work? The "I" position on the switch is wired to the GND when door open from the interior dome light. The "II" position on the switch is wired to the constant ground from the interior dome light. The "VCC" is the positive 12V feed from the interior dome light. Thanks everyone! 🙂
lilbleh
If your car already has existing footwell lighting, this tip will serve you well. There is actually no need to do any extraordinary wiring installation. What I suggest is that you tap into the existing footwell light for the power to light up the LEDs. However, if you do not have any footwell lighting to begin with, it might be worth to tap into the courtesy or dome lamp for the electricity to light up the addtional LEDs. Just be sure to tap safely!! Good luck!
