Its been asked before but nobody seems to know, i do know that on my old ST focus you could get the dealer to program it, but it wasnt something you could do yourself

i have just spoken to our master technician and he says that it is more than likely done by IDS at a ford dealer

On the BRISKODA Forum there is a lot of talk of using VCDS on a laptop to enable quite a lot of functions yourself.

Is IDS or 3rd party equivalent available for Ford Owners / Enthusiasts to use as well ?

If it is, I just wonder what else can be done.

Please tell :D

1. Turn on ignition until the dash lights come on but don't start engine!

2. Lock the door using the lever on the door handle and then unlock 3 Times

3. Turn off ignition

4. Repeat 2 but with ignition OFF

5. Turn on ignition - should hear a beep

6. Lock door again as in 2 BUT ONLY ONCE - final beep should be heard

7. Done!

This isn't for the new Fiesta, we don't have a lock on the door.

Oh well, maybe some enterprising company will come up with it some day.

I done this to the exact method, although in step 6 I locked and then unlocked (Could this be the problem). The problem is it works all fine and well but when i open door to get out while engine is running or turn off car and re-start it doesn't lock. Its like its only programmed for that one ignition start
