I had this a few weeks back (Yes, I know we are well off topic now LOL) Only 9 years out of date! It was yummy...

 

I’m pretty sure my first few cars was just water in the summer then added anti freeze just before winter hit. 
I think the guy Shawty and his £30k car is being over cautious but mixing different types of coolant can be a problem. Topping up with water on the other hand ...carry on. 

Just to think, the op could have bought a proper car with 30k

With respect to the Focus, my fantasy £30k car would have been a, "2017 Mercedes-Benz C63 V8 BiTurbo AMG Premium"!! Enough money leftover for an LPG conversion too, I've checked, you can top coolant up with water LOL

 

Please don't just use any old water on a £30K like a Merc, it has to be Evian - pure filtered and soft, as advertised by babies so it must be good 😉

That looks fantastic...but it's out of warranty and repairs will be eye watering lol!!

Yes, proper dealer 'merc' repairs would be high, however, there is an independent Mercedes garage in Belfast I used for my C class, and they were even cheaper than getting a Ford fixed! Their knowledge is encyclopedic as it's the only brand they do, and like all brands, if you source decent used parts, it could still be feasible. Anyway, no harm dreaming LOL
