Interior Light doesn't auto turn off

Have just taken delivery of a 69 plate Focus Vignale MK4 and the most bizarre of issues.....  the interior light, when switch set in neutral position, doesn't turn off as i get in and drive away. If i switch the switch to ON and then back to neutral, it goes off and comes back on when the doors open but i have to do this every time i pull away.

Is this a setting?
