The Varta one you've linked to I believe will be too long, I'm pretty sure it's 278mm needed for the length.

battery megastore is worth a check and also tayna.

I have a Yuasa battery in mine which has given me no issues since fitting around 3 years ago.

Ah too long then, il go for the bosh one then.

One question though, I've read some places you need to memory save car before changing battery

No idea on this as i naively thought you can just swap batteries over.?

On ford's you can just change it but you will loose radio stations. When the new battery is installed you should go for a drive and it will go through a relearn procedure.

Once you have changed the battery you will need to reset the battery monitoring sensor (BMS) so the stop start will work correctly.

FYI, Varta and Bosch are the same as I understand it and Bosch is just the status brand. I certainly rate Tayna, I've just bout a Varta for my mother in law for about £70 from them, where some places want about £150 for the same battery.  It was well packed for delivery, in in a box in its liquid proof bag with a pressure valve stopper.

Not true, well I didn't.

I replaced my battery on my my 3.5 focus last week and the stop/start worked straight away. Annoyingly.

When I replaced the battery on my Mk3 I did as @JW1982 recommended. I fully charged the new battery and after installation I reset the BMS. The start-stop worked for the first time in over 4 years.

Now the "smart" charge system has reduced the SOC to 80% it's stopped working again. I'm not bothered though, it's saving a lot of wear and tear on battery and starter.

Can you tell me how to do this?

Thank you
