Auto stop start

Can anyone tell me how you reset bms on a 2019 auto focus

My MK4 Focus (2019) Manual

Neutral

Ignition on - press start/stop button

lights in auto

flash main beam 5 times

press brake pedal 3 times

battery light on dash should blink 3 times within the next 15 seconds.

I had to try mine a few times before the battery light blinked 3 times.

I managed to reset the bms and been out for a good drive but the auto start still hasn’t kicked in and ideas

Did you fully charge the battery, using a charger, before doing the reset?

No i didn’t I’ve had about an hour and half drive in it before I reset it

When you drive the car the smart charge is aiming to charge the battery to 80% not 100%. The BMS resets itself when the car is left idle overnight by checking the battery voltage, it only requires a manual reset when a new battery is fitted. Charging the battery to 100% with a smart charger might get the stop-start working again for a few days.
