Focus mk2.5: What Fascia and/or adapters would I need for this headunit?

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I'd like to swap my OEM 6000 CD ford radio (call bluetooth only) for this guy. Its a 6.8" unit and comes with a small frame.  I imagine I need more than the small frame it comes with. Also is it plug and play or are additional cables required?

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I would suggest something like this.
I would only suggest getting either PX5 or PX6
PX6 > PX5 but both are good.
Both will include all the wiring that you'd need, you'd get 4gb of ram on both too. I have the PX6 on my Focus mk3 and i honestly love it.
Since these stereos are made for your car, it will work with all your functions. it does with mine on my mk3.

PX6 (£228.49) - PX6
PX5 (£193.73) - PX5

Make sure you select either one of those two as they'll fit your car. the Colour will say which version it is. Make sure you select Model A is for manual AC while Model B is for Climate control

i would not recommend getting any android stereo below a PX5, such as a PX30 as they're just too slow.

Here's a review i did of mine for my focus mk3 which uses the PX6 chip. the android stereo itself would be same as yours but not the fascia.

Cheers @Rowan112! I was going to buy another android unit (xtrons) but I cancelled because it had no android auto which is what I want the most at the end of the day. I think I'll go for the PX5.  Your review link is broken by the way but Id be interested in checking it out.

Honestly a PX5 might be good enough for you, I dislike Xtron as they're too expensive for what they offer.
btw these units are so fast and good, you don't even need android auto. Android auto is used for mirroring from your phone and used to process everything, but the unit should be fast enough that you don't need android auto but it's there if you must have it
