Smoke me a kipper
Hi, just wondering if anyone can help, I have a 2014 Ford Focus mk2 and I need to update the SYNC and maps. I have gone to the SYNC and maps software page on Ford site and entered VIN number and it tells me that a software update is available at around 770mb. If I download and install this, will it automatically update my sat navs maps or will I also need to buy the latest maps SD card. The SD card I currently have is ‘Western Europe’ SD sat nav (v4.1). If I do need a new one, where is the best place to buy one and which one thanks

YOG
IIRC, and you have an SD Card, you have SYNC 1/2, not SYNC 3. To download using a USB stick, you need SYNC 3, which involves changing the unit. Your choices are, either get the latest SD Card, or spend around £450/£500 to update to a SYNC 3 unit. Plenty of posts on how to do this upgrade, I have done it myself.
Smoke me a kipper
I have the SYNC 1 system, so your saying that I cannot do a software update with this unit? that in mind - what SD card would I get which will work in my car?
Comares2001
Think it's V11 card just search web loads of sellers around £
