Ford focus lights

Recommended Posts

Recently bought a Mk2 focus zetec 2.0 petrol. Found that the sidelights fron and rear weren't working. I have checked the fuses and all seemed fine, also replaced the wiring housing block (plug) at the back of the switch and all seem fine with this  too  when I was having a play I found that the sidelights would come one if the engine was turned off and I flicked the switch anticlockwise to the park lights. I wondered if maybe there was a problem in the switch itself and replaced this and this hasn't solved it either does anyone know what will be the problem ?

Hi Arron, welcome to the Ford Owners Club.

You need to check the BCM (Body Control Module) for signs of water and corrosion. The BCM is moiunted with the internal fuse box behind the glovebox on your model (I think).

Remove the plugs from the BCM and inspect for signs of corrosion of the pins.
