Stereo fitting

Hi,

on wife’s mk2 focus it’s got a Sony smiley face stereo.

if I was to change for a double din unit which is square do I have to buy an adaptor . Halfords sell double din be square hole ones for ford but it rounded on edges of Sony

Go the scrappy and get a square facia, if you go for a similar year they should just swap out. When i did it there were 2 shoulders [for want of a better word]  on either side that wouldnt let it "in" pliers or a big flat screwdriver and rip them out then it comes down to cages and ISO kits. Halfords not the cheapest, try eBay for a fitting kit around 20-30 quid

That is one helluva piece of kit for £200! When I was a young man, I would have loved that LOL
