I will post some photos of the engine bay on the light of some day!

It's a learning curve for all of us!

This thread is certainly helping me to update my references!

It is a great opportunity for me to get some practice!

You can point my mistakes on writting as well!

Ouzo, Beer, Water, Ice worked for the annual monthly sailing trips...😄

Ah that's interesting.  We refer to that injector as an 'atomiser' (not sure if that'll translate).

It only used to be fitted to the 2.0 TDCI.  If the 1.5 TDCI also uses that instead of post injection, that may explain why you don't get the rising oil level that those of us with older DPFs are used to... 🤔

I'm not sure the 1.5 has a fuel vapouriser. Know it has adblue injector that injects adblue( urea and deionised water ) to reduce nitrogen oxides. The engine oil does still get diluted by the regen process. Regens of our far more often than 300-400km intervals.

Will inspect the next 1.5 I come across and follow the pipe from fuel filter to see where it goes.

I inspected the engine bay two hours ago.

I think that you are correct!!!The injector exists but its nickel pipe comes from the back place of the car where the fuel tank is.So it is the ADBLUE injector and i was completely wrong about my theory.

What these three coloured cables - sensors on the turbine, the downpipe and the DPF are for?

Just simple curiosity!!!

And now your reply in greek writting:

Ούζο , Μπύρα , Νερό , Πάγος με εξυπηρέτησαν για τα ετήσια μηνιαία ταξίδια..

Greek language and writting are a little dificult to learn but when you make a start you just won't like to stop!!!

Rich language with lots of local variations and pronunciation!

And of course the basic words everyone likes to learn in every language of the world are the bad words!!!😅

I had a look at one today and the pipe off the fuel filter doesn't connect to anything and suspect it's used to bleed off air after filter change.

As for coloured cables , there's 2 hego sensors, 2 exhaust temp sensors, dpf pressure sensor, particulate matter sensor,And reductant injector on the exhaust. So take your pick.

Haha....The Ex Father in law who owned the yacht was fluent in both Greek and Turkish as he used to keep it 6 months in Greek waters and 6 months in Turkish waters to avoid paying VAT on it which at the time was a common thing amongst many boat owners.

Greek seas are magnificent and clean!!!

Greek hospitality is good and our islands although are a little poor of financial developement (especially the little ones and surely NOT Mykonos, Santorini, Rhodes and Crete) people there are friendly and ready to give you lot of their heart and their kindness!!

The best and most clean seas are located to both Aegean and Ionian sea, for example Ithake (island of Odysseus, Ionian sea) , Karpathos (Aegean sea), Kos (Hippokrates Island,Aegean sea) , Corfu (Ionian sea), Lefkada (ionian sea), Paros (Aegean sea) etc.

In Greece we have a saying that says "If you do not praise your home it will fall and crash down on you!!" And in greek " Αν δεν παινέψεις το σπίτι σου θα πέσει να σε πλακώσει!!"

I hope lot of you are going to visit Greece for your vacation this year!!

Have a nice weekend!!!

Greeks were always very hospitable but we wasnt really in the mainland more into little coves and hidden away places where you could moor up on anchor and get the outboard to land.

Most of the places we visited just had a really small beach ( Bit if sand) and a small Taverna often selling ice cold beer or Ouzo and whatever food that was caught that day. If you were lucky sometimes the Taverna owner would come out to tour yacht in a small speed boat and ask what time you wanted picking up to take you ashore for your evening meal and bring you back later. Couldnt fault any of it tbh . Great people great places.

I would advice you to visit more islands with a little bigger population...you will see a different culture and tradition from place to place....

I wish all of us to have a healthy and beautiful summer in every place of the entire world!!!!

Unfortunately I/ we don't like busy places and our last holiday abroad was probably 4yrs ago. We managed to find lovely quiet Hotel in Marrakech, Morocco and have been going there for the last 7 years sometimes more than once a year though.

I absolutely respect your opinion of course!

Marracesh is probably a wonderful place to visit!!! I have no passport at all and i have never been out of greek borders for a single hour!!!

The only place i have dreamed to visit is Canada at winter time!!!

I like cold and snowy winter a lot because here in Greece we never have some!!!

I like cold weather more than hot and annoying summers in Greece!

I know that sounds a little crazy but that's me!!!! 😄😄

Ok if you are losing a lot of oil but there's no obvious leaks and your engine is over running it is likely the engine is burning the oil instead of the diesel.  Worn turbo seals can let this happen

Worned turbo seals from 3.700 miles?

Are these fixable?

Is it in the quarantee of the car or i have to pay for it?

Maximum oil consumption is 0.1 litre per 1000km. So by your calculation 650ml for 5700 km instead of 570 ml. Not hugely excessive but worth talking to your dealer about and getting them to investigate. Any failure of engine or turbo component resulting in excessive oil consumption will be covered by warranty guarantee.

Thanks a lot for your reply!

I hope this ammount of oil consumption is normal and going to be reduced more.

The engine remains powerful and has a great pull when needed!
