New Sync 3 and Map updates available on Ford account website

Do we know if the F10 maps have been released yet for Sync 3 V3.0?

Well, it seemed to be working, just very slowly. Appearing to do little bits every time I drove.

Then wife drove it - claims she didn't touch anything, but I now get the dreaded MEM_ERR01 (or ERR_MEM01).

Ho hum, perhaps I'll manage without F10!!!!!

Thinking of the CyanLabs route, does it take the same length of time? and the same pallaver? Does the Ford Interrogator prog. give results that Ford accept??

I check often the sync update site and today it's saying a map update but says 0mb. This is for a 17plate 3.5 model on sync 3.0

Just installed the 0mb map update and uploaded the log file on the Ford website. Doesn't seem to have done anything and the Ford site is still offering me the same 0mb update. Has anyone else got the same thing?

At least Ford are honest about MEM-ERRO1

The haven't got a clue, this is from the fortnightly email I've been getting for a while now

"Again I have heard back from our technical team in regards to the issue, they have informed me the matter is still under investigation and it is still their top priority.  Unfortunately they are still unsure as the route of the issue but are working on it."

I've been using CyanLabs for about the last 10 months and used them to do all the map updates. It still takes some time but is way quicker than Ford. You stick in the USB which the Cyanlabs configured and away you go. It loads - it updates - it works !! what more could you want ?

When I first got the MEM-ERRO1 , I went back on the ford download site and there was still a small map update left, this would never install, told Ford and have just left it at that.

Parked the car this morning and it said downloading update (via wifi)

Went back on the ford site and I'm fully up to date, god knows what's actually happening.

So website says no updates but car say downloading, and it looks like it'll take a while .

Ford are not the only ones with software bugs-

Microsoft have a severe security threat (windows 10) allowing hackers to take control of your PC when you print. Microsoft haven't got a fix for this yet !!

Universities are disabling all printing for the forseeable time untill a fix or work around can be found.

There must be more people complaining about the MEM-ERRO1 as my fortnightly email just jumped to 2 this week

Just wanted to update you in regards to the issue and let you know our technical are looking deeper into this matter and it should be resolved soon.


I'm expecting the next one to say, We have done a deal with CyanLabs and the reformat reinstall software is now available to download from Ford 🤣

Tried earlier. It did say updating but never gave any complete that previous updates have done. Also nothing has changed. I'm waiting my son checking usb stick to see if at least a log file has been generated.

I didn’t see the ‘complete’ when I ran the update but I left the usb stick in and did a key cycle, then got the complete message and it downloaded the log file.

Ok. Went back out put usb in and started up. Got a brief system update then said it was complete. I've uploaded log file. Will see if any change over next few days

I got fed up waiting for the Ford web site to change, so I downloaded the file provided under "troubleshooting" to generate a new log file. Said it would take around 1 minute to run. When I put it in the car I got the "updating software message" 20 minutes later it wast still saying that. At that point I gave up and removed the usb stick from the car. It has generated a file called "utloggingutility.Interlog_utility.log" but that won't upload onto the Ford site as its not an XLS file. Not sure what to do now?

I have an ST3 2016, which I upgraded from SYNC 2 to SYNC 3.

I have used Cyanlabs for all my updates, from SYNC 3, software version: 3.0 Build 19205 (Navigation F9) to the latest SYNC 3, software version: 3.4 Build 21194 (Navigation F10).

After the install of Build 21194, I had the No GPS logo (like a no entry road-sign) appear on the Nav screen. It remained, even after a Master Reset.

I carried out a reinstall of the previous 21098 (Navigation F10), and everything is back to working fine.

Good infromation, so it looks like this is the most up to date working version and that 21194 should not be used.

Returned to car this afternoon and put the memory stick back in. Within a few seconds got the "update complete" message and it downloaded the log file correctly. Just uploaded that on the Ford site, will see if it makes any difference.

I too have noticed the 0mb download file for my 2017 Focus.  However, im presuming this is just a Ford website issue, so will be interested to see if it does actually do anything.

See my previous posts above. Having messed around with installing the 0gb update it’s now offering me a 24gb one. Will download it later

Now there appears to be a an issue getting updates downloaded from the Ford site. Used the chat facility and was told it is a known issue and I should try agin in a few day. You'd think someone would have the sense to put a message to that effect on the page!

I've been dealing with Ford for several weeks over the MEM-ERRO1 issue, got an email today saying there's nowt they can do, take it to a dealer. Well I'm not paying for them to sort it out, so Cyanlabs here I come.
