The mirrors fold in automatically, I think that’s why it has such a tight grip on the rubbers - so it can bend its head round to peck its reflection in the mirror. If I can I’ll try for a picture.

I know what you mean the mirrors on the MK4 don't fold in very much. Pepper on an old sock might put it off if it gets a mouthful.

I had a similar problem with a previous car where an urban Fox took to running around in circles on the bonnet and roof of that car. I never did find a solution to that, and I think that was related to the breeding season and went away after a few weeks. Crows are early breeders so it can't be related to that.

Cut a couple of pieces of BLACK card the shape of the Mirror Glass and fix it with Blue Tac might work.

Good luck

If your looking to just covering the mirrors then buy a pair of mittens and slide the over each one they and gar a pair that are a tight ish fit.

Had to remove three dollops of bird poo again this morning before heading off to work. One on the roof one on the drivers side window and one on the passenger side wing grrrr.

I’ve been talking to neighbours and it seems the whole street is affected. There are six streets on the estate so it seems its like a scene out of The Birds 😀

As VFR800 has said they are intelligent creatures. I’ve come to the conclusion that they’ve twigged that spiders live in wing mirrors and that’s what they are looking for. My son mentioned mirror covers but these divils are so big I think they would just shred them. Shout out Wino

I’m not suggesting we’re all living in fear whilst being held in terror but it just seriously ticks me off.

Thanks for all the helpful (and not so helpful - :raygun: ) tips.

The OP could stick some of these onto the top of his wing mirrors to stop them landing and pecking.  Putting some on the bonnet and along the roof could halp as well, and he might even start a new trend on hos estate if it works. https://www.birdspikesonline.co.uk/Bird-Spikes/Defender4-Pigeon-Spikes-Plastic
