2007 focus power steering leaking o rings help

replaced power steering pipes (aftermarket kit) 8 months ago everything fine no leaks etc. suddenly leaking badly from pipes as they mate up to rack started as a wet bit then full reservoir of fluid gone in 10 miles .purchased new o ring kit from local dealers when stripping down pipes noticed o rings in 2 pieces (like having 2 separate rings but thinner rings) installed new seals 10 miles later same thing took pipes off and new seals in 2 pieces again ordered new kit again in mean time wrapped ptfe  tap round o rings no leak but i think this measure wont last long ....can anyone tell me what im doing wrong..never had this problem with nearly 40 years of fixing fords
