Rear passenger window on 2007 CC3 won’t go back up

Featured Replies

Hi, any advice is much appreciated as I adore my CC3 and have taken good care of it.

The passenger rear window won’t go back up. I don’t know enough to gauge if it’s safe to try to manually lift it up without doing any damage and can’t find anything on YouTube that’s been on any use - any thoughts?

Ford have quoted £472.00 for a new regulator + labour on top which is not possible any time soon!

Do NOT try to move the window manually, it will cause damage to the gearing/motor.

Have they tested and confirmed the window regulator is at fault or is that just their guess?

Hi, thanks for replying. It was a guess over the phone after explaining the issue - do you think it could be something else?

There are lots of possible problems, and most cost a lot less.

(a) faulty window switch

(b) blown fuse

(c) window stuck

(d) faulty relay

(e) faulty motor

(f) broken gearing on window lift

(g) window regulator/control fault

I would get an auto electrician to take a look at it first.

Ok I’ll do that, thanks for taking the time to reply.
