MK3 Aux plug in rear

Featured Replies

Hi,  I got a dashcam for my son and currently we plug it in the aux plug in the rear of the center console and unplug when we are leaving the car.  Is it safe to leave it plugged in all the time or will the battery on the car get drained?

Safe to leave it plugged in... (When you take the key out of the ignition, after a few moments, the cam will turn off)

No problem, I'll only charge £20 for my advice, so you're still £50 up on the deal LOL 🤣

you can pay £10 for a hardwiring kit and do it yourself. it's quite easy tbh. hiding wires is the best. especially on the front of the car
