Focus MK2.5 2009 Hatch Creaking from rear suspension + vibration from front left

Featured Replies

I have a 2009 Focus Zetec Hatchback and noticed that going over speed bumps or pulling onto my drive (dips down then up onto a dropped curb slope) the rear end would creak or click loudly repeatedly. I had someone check it at a local tyre place that had a ramp and they did an inspection on a rolling road and also shook the car's rear end. They then got it up on the ramp and had a look and said they couldn't find anything except that it had new springs.

I then took it to kwik-fit and they pretty much said the same thing except they test drove it and said there might be something on the front left (which may explain when turning slowly on full lock there is a vibration from that side) but couldn't confirm anything until it got worse. I then took it to an independant garage which test drove it and said that the rear sub-frame bushes are worn but not badly so we had them replaced. No creaking at all for about 2 days until it gradually came back over about 3 days. The car boot has been empty and I took out the spare wheel and it still creaks (thought maybe something was rattling and I was just being worried)

So yeah pretty much don't know why it's creaking and it seems maybe it was something to do with the rear sub bushes as it did stop when I had them done but it came back almost immediately so maybe its something they did.

Any ideas?
